Confessors play so far

From 1st of 18th level i was pretty gimp, but got numerous spell upgrades at 19th and now it swung the other way. 1-18th i was only able to kill my level or below and only ~3 before i had to rest. Since I hit 19th I can kill 10 mobs in a row and they can be a few levels above me. Have heard other confessors say they took off at 20th (major gear level), but for me I saw a major difference at 19th.

How we play: Pretty typical healer, but if there is a 2nd healer in the team one can move to DD and do a pretty good job.

My take is that this class is weak before 19th and shines after that. My guess is that when traits are introduced it will help some under 19th, but might OP us above that. All my comments are for PVE and I know the devs are more interesting in PVP so who knows.

For beta this is expected :)

I hope the players don't make the confessor the heals only class, cause I would like to dual spec (when it comes later) my templar to heal, and make my confessor a dps at the start

Believe you will be lvl 9 before Traits are available (When added)

Remember that even when we get our DPS traits we wont have roots like the mages or dodges like the rogues. We will have good dd and good heals, but limited to no defense; seems like a fair trade to me.

With the Traits explained in the thread here, heals will be superior/just the same as defence. Only time need to worry is when you run out of Mana.

Group Dungeon/Bosses you know how this goes from experience you either need a Templar to Regen your Mana or another Healer Conf.

PvP however heals give a great advantage as any opponent (except Templar) will have a very hard time against Conf if the player knows what they are doing.

I just hope that as a dps confessor/Templar you can still spam heal yourself for more damage than a dps is dishing out, yes heals should help in pvp, but heals shouldn't be to op in pvp.

Why no one listens when I say Confessors are awesome ;_;

@Root Rogue DPS = Confessor heals in a still fight. = not moving. Problem is you run out of mana very fast. Will have to find right footwork (not kiting) to win these fights and hope to crack a way to avoid stuns. Templars might be able to heal vs confessor and regen mana fast, but that's only if he hits you. Confessor class still got his DPS, although very costly a and long (2sec cadt) spell to eat up mana (80mana for 5% mana of target = if Templar got 1000mana it's 80 of my mana for 50 of his), and we can remove buffs. At the end of the day it will be a rush remove mana from equation of both players and that where the true game of survival starts for both

Like I said confessors blow 1-18th and will drive a lot of players away.
