World of Midgard Forum Rules

Registering and Usage of Account

§1 When you register to this forum, you agree to the following rules. You as a player in return will be allowed to use the forum to your disposal to exchange constructive views, opinions and ideas.

§2 The forum rules will be updated and changed by a member of the moderation team. Therefore it is important that you view the updates in the forum on any rules or agreements which are changed.

§3 As part of our promise to give you maximum use of the forum, forum and global moderators are there to enforce these rules. A breach of the rules is subject to their assessment and may result in a ban.

§4 Users are allowed to change their username on request. For your username in the forum, there will be a change to your user prior to $9.99 fee. You must notify the Administrator for prior consent.

§5 Users are allowed only one account in the forum community.

§5a The owner of the account is responsible for their account. He/She must ensure passwords are kept hidden and not to be shared with another person. The team will never ask you for your password. Giving your account to someone else is strictly prohibited.

§5b Computer Sharing is allowed. However, we advise that you do not save your password if you share your computer to avoid someone else accessing your account. Multiuser accounts are forbidden.

§5c Users are not to create a username with just numbers. The username can contain numbers, but with letters. The username must not contain offensive or inappropriate language.

Banning

§6 This is how the moderation team will monitor behaviour to enforce these rules. These are guidelines only. If users break the rules in the most extreme cases, moderators can use their power to their discretion:

1st Warning - A warning will be issued with instructions on what to do to avoid being banned.

2nd Warning - Another warning will be issued, followed by a temporary ban.

3rd Warning - Failure to comply with warnings and the moderation will result in a permanent ban

§6a If a user registers again after being banned, their account will also be banned after immediate effect.

§6b If a user believes he/she is not at fault after a warning, the user may request a second opinion from the global moderation team.

Behaviour

§7 The forum acts as a community for the World of Midgard. Therefore we ask that all members express their views and communicate in a respectful and polite manner.Here is a list of behaviour we do not expect from our users. If any user breaches these rules, they will be punished accordingly:

§7a - Insults, slander, sexually harass, discrimination against either race, religion, nationality, sexual preferences, age or gender.

§7b - Publishing, transmitting or giving access to material, which is not appropriate for under age users, or which will violate local, national or international law, including, but not limited to sexual, illegal, rude and obscene contents.

§7c - Blackmailing users in any way violates the general terms and conditions of World of Midgard.

§7d - Any profiles are exclusively to be composed in English. Profiles in other languages will be deleted by support.

§7e - Mimicry of official World of Midgard or other official institutions in any way or form, including but not limited to Admins, Moderators and Support, is strictly prohibited and will be penalized by prompt deletion.

§7f - Advertising of any kind, which was not approved by the Administration Team is to be refrained from. Method of distribution is irrelevant.

§7g - Questionable images in oversized profiles are prohibited as well, and will be removed by Support. Signatures are also required to be 630x100 or less or 630 x 125 if part of your signatures height is transparent. They cannot be animated.

§7h - Chain mails of any kind, no matter the content or concern are strictly forbidden.

General Rules

§8 When posting in the forum, please ensure you have looked to see if there is any relevant posts already made. You can do this by using the ‘search’ function in the community. Please also make sure you post in the correct section of the forum. It is also up to the forum moderation team to move posts which are not in the correct area.

§8a Cross-posting and duplicating of existing posts will be counted as spam. It is up to the moderator to merge/delete topics to avoid duplication.

§8b Posting a couple of posts at the same time in the same thread is also not allowed. Flooding the thread will restrict others from using the forum. Moderators will delete duplicate threads and may issue a warning if many posts are created in one topic by a user.

§9 Excessive use capital letters and/or special characters are not allowed in topic titles unless in the Off-Topic section of the forum.

§10 Private messages and its content must not be posted in the forum community unless both parties agree. Copyright of pictures and written work also applies in the forum, and therefore owners reserve the right to report users who breach this.

§10a Discussing Private Messages with abusive content may result in a permanent ban.

§10b Discussing warnings or bans in the public domain may also prolong your ban. This will also affect any appeal made as explained in §4b.

§11 World of Midgard reserves the right to change any rules without prior consent.

**§12 Finally, the World of Midgard Administration and Moderation team reserve the right to delete any posts and messages without notice of the reasons posted above. These rules have been reviewed as of 18-11-2012 and are completely separate from any game rules and T&C.**
