I do not have a specific mount suggestion since a lot has already been mentioned, instead, I would suggest that in the long run, all medium to large enemies should be mount-able and a mini-game of "beast-taming" inserted into the game to acquire them. Just like in real life, these creatures have lifespans so they eventually die which means you will have to tame new enemies again. Of course, taming will not be as easy, it may include feeding untamed beasts with expensive/rare food or something like that. Anyway, cool suggestions, the mount concept reminds me a lot of Chocobo from Final Fantasy, for some reason, Mount and Chocobo sounds right if used in one sentence

That would be fun for some end game fun. I really like the idea of an ice wolf. Need an insulated saddle though. Having cold butt cheeks just doesn't make for a fun day!
