It would be awesome to see "folk costume" based on a period of time in history. Not only does some folk costumes look cool, it will be educational for the younger players who are still studying. You can always mutate the boring ones to make them look a little exciting and not lose its tribal essence. Below are some examples:

1. In West Africa, Nigeria - You have your Agbada and Isiagu for males.
2. In North Africa, Egypt - You have your Galebeya
3. In South East Asia, Bangladesh - You have your Sarong
4. In East Asia, Japan - You have your Kimono
5. In South East Asia, Philippines - You have your Barong Tagalog for males
6. In Europe, Wales - You have your Traditional Welsh Costume
...and many more...

I'm not sure if I'm allowed to put a link here, but you can readily google them all. In my opinion, this is a decent marketing move that's both sneaky and cute to appeal to the "world" and broaden your customer base. How many MMORPG's where they actually give a shout-out to each nation? Not too many. That's just my 2 cents.
