Question about guild chest.

Postby Blind » Sun Apr 01, 2012 3:59 am

Hey guys.

So imagine i donate this ultra rare, most powerful wand for lvl 25 twink, which is discontinued as well...and guildies are allowed to borrow in case of serious matters such as duels. What happens to the item if the person refuses to give it back hahah?

Will i as a gm, be manually able to extract it from his inventory? Or in case if the person suddenly goes inactive, completely, will there be a system that automatically returns the item after a set period of time?

Thx everyone.

So basically if your guild member steals an item, Doesn't return or replace something of which you want to be replaced then what you can do is remove them from the guild.

There is no "Lend an item" system in place, If someone takes an item then they have it until they give it back.

Crap, that won't help hahah, i guess you gotta be very careful about who is allowed access to the chest.

Thx for the answer :-)

I think the better way to go about that would be not to leave it in the chest but give it to people of whom you trust completely when needed... Hehe

Generally, from past experiences in different guilds, the guild chests/banks usually contained items, which consisted of profession materials, weapons and armor of lower value (useful for lower level alts), misc items that people don't necessarily want anymore, food, potions, etc. There were never any epic or high level items that people left in the bank.

It was probably meant to have it this way to prevent the problem you are mentioning. For your guild, I suggest only having items that you do not mind having potentially being "stolen." Hopefully you will never come across this problem since you will have members who you trust and will be honest in their donations and withdraws.

This is just what I've seen from my experiences, others might have a different take on this. Hope this is somewhat helpful to you.

Also, people usually put their junk into the chest, so they don't expect it back.

I'm pretty sure if it is ultra rare it will bind on pickup, and if not it would definitely bind on equip
